She's growing up

It's been a lovely day,

shared on a walk,

discussing things in our hearts;

her arm in mine.

Quiet talk of troubles on her mind,

and smiles with the loveliness

of all the wonderful things

which have been happening.

Still curious when we 

discover something new,

and happy to greet

new acquaintances on our path.

There are many questions

I'm so glad she's asking,

and I pray I can answer

so the questions never stop.

Something new

has been brewing

in our relationship;

something deeper.

My daughter is growing up,

and being her mother

is more wonderful 

with each new day.
