First day 'not' back to school party

We've kicked off our schooling year with a bang.  Lots of activity!

For the fourth year this has been organised, we met with another 38 families for our annual 'Not-back-to-school' Party at Geelong's Adventure Park last Friday. The weather was lovely and the children had a blast.

We came in, set down our gear on the banana lounges, then went straight into the water.

Some homeschool conferencing also happened when parents sat for a while to chat.  I ended up walking 6 laps of the tidal pool during one long discussion with 4 other mums. :)

Thank you to all who came and helped us make this event happen again!

If anyone reading this (from Melbourne, Aust.) is interested in knowing about next year's party, you can check out updates on the Rockpool Homeschool forum, under the 'Activities and Events for Families' link.  You may choose to subscribe to event information by clicking on the 'Follow this Forum' button (light grey) on the right hand side.

Thank you for dropping by!

Lovely seeing you there, Joanne. :)

Oh Ganeida, I thought that once you were a homeschooling parent, always a homeschooling parent! :)

I know what you mean, though .. wow! You'll have to have a party at the end of the year to celebrate!!

Yes, blogger is aware of the problem. Apparantly I'm not the only one, so have taken their advice and employed popup:
