Music sites for children

Have you heard about the site Clickschooling? Diane Flinn Keith hosts the site, providing a library source of all sorts of educational sites. If you subscribe to daily curriculum ideas, you'll receive daily emails, with a given subject each day of the week.

This weekend I received an email about a music site that looks great! Play Music directs you to various other musical sites, including Carnegie Hall's Resource Centre, various games, an interview with a conductor, creating your own music and more.

I've just checked out the "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" via the Carnegie Hall site. The interactive videos are very informative. A parent may be needed to help read the information written on the screen, but there is also enough dialogue given to not make this necessary.

If your children enjoy learning online, you may want to have a look.  There are LOTS of bunny trails via Play Music, so go through them and bookmark your favourites.
