Let's move it! GoTrybe TOS Review

Finding a fitness program to motivate your children can be challenging. They may be wanting to further develop their endurance levels, or just start a regular routine of exercise that can be measured.

When I was young, the "Life Be In It" program was starting off, and we had 15 minutes of daily exercise out in the yard first off every morning. Everybody benefits; it doesn't matter if one child is already more active than another.

As we started reviewing an online fitness program for children, called GoTrybe, I saw how the intention is similar to that which I'd partaken of as a child.

GoTrybe all happens online. So, before considering this, make sure you have an internet connection that allows for the downloading speed (ours was a little slow!)

Here's how you start:
* Choose the age group you're interested in: grades K-5, 6-8, or 9+.
* You may then select your avatar and fill in a profile. We didn't do this until a little later, so missing this part won't stop you from using the program.
* Hit on the "Daily Activity" tab, and you're on your way!

Every day (ideally!) you check out the four boxes under "Daily Activity" to maximise your points.

The Fitness window is where you can select your exercise regime. There are pre-planned routines, or you can customise your own. Make sure you select a warm-up, and then pick and mix to make a routine that suits your child's style and goals. Once you click on the black ? box, you can scroll through a selection of videos. Hovering your mouse over each frame will give a description of the exercise details.  Select from different activity types (eg: dance was a favourite here) and intenstities. You can also select as many or as few as you like, tailoring to a time requirement also if need be.

It may take a few times before you find your ultimate routines, then when you do, save them as a 'favourite'.

Nutrition, motivation and wellness are a selection of quick videos and facts with questions to answer.

Completing each section adds points to your total. Only so many points can be awarded each day, too, so no cheating allowed! The points are later redeemable in the avatar store to upgrade each child's avatar. (This was something we didn't bother with. The points themselves were motivation enough, and probably more fun if parents redeem them with a shopping voucher for children to buy their own actual clothing.)

GoTrybe usually costs $39.95US for an annual subscription. I suggest trying it out for a day FREE OF CHARGE first to see if it suits your family.  A discounted annual membership is then available using the promo code GETFIT for $19.95US.

There are other features, including an online forum, which we didn't try out. If you should have any further questions about this product, visit the site's FAQ page HERE.

Have some fun as a family. Maybe the children will even put together a good workout for you!

NB - I received use of GoTrybe for the purpose of review. There is no other compensation and the opinions are my own. Thank you to GoTrybe for the use of this product. If you'd like to read further reviews on this product, please click HERE.
