Thank you Renelle at Dove's Rest for honouring me with this lovely award. It was most definitely a pleasant surprise. I only just 'met' Renelle when she presented me with the award by paying her a return visit at her blog. Renelle enjoys the Charlotte Mason approach to homeschooling AND lives in the country (yes, I'm a wee bit envious!)
If you already have this award you rightly deserve it; thank you for blogging.
I'd like to share this with the following people, some of whom I've not long met and others whom I've befriended in blogging land over some time. These are in no particular order....
The Fig Tree ~ a friend who has shared tears and laughter, and does some amazing art work.
Cee Lew ~ with her creativity.(Cee, the library's getting that activity book in, so we can try marbling soon, too. Yay!!)
Ganeida's Knots ~ a lady who wears her heart on her sleeve, always managing to share her wisdom and humour. Her honesty in her journalism always makes me smile.
Discoveries ~ who shares her love of the nature and some great ideas.
Sweet Blue Sky Days ~ I know she has already been given this award, but I so enjoy reading of the happenings there in Tasmania. :)
The Legacy of Home ~ whom I've not long 'met', but I really enjoy visiting regularly to catch up on previous posts. If you want inspiration in homekeeping, this is a blog to visit!
My Secret Garden ~ is another newer blog, but indeed very beautiful.
Okay, now for the 7 things about me:
- I really enjoy teaching my children. We have our 'moments', but on the whole it's just so rewarding.
- I haven't had enough time to read my own books lately. I've lost count on how many times I've had to re-borrow library books, or return them and request again at a later date.
- I've reached my 4th decade.
- My most comfortable pair of shoes are now squeaking when I walk in them, but I can't bear to part with them just yet.
- I do 'try' whistling, but my Dad is so much better at whistling than I!
- I'm the eldest of nine children, and an aunt to 12 children (just on my side of the family) .. soon to be 14.
- My children have (apparently) already decided that they're going to live close by when they're married so I can homeschool my grandchildren, lol!

Thankyou so much Alecat. This is such a lovely surprise to wake to this morning.
I'm glad your library will get that crafty book for you. We borrowed and reborrowed it from there. There are many simple ideas for crafty things including stitching, knitting and things with paper. I'm sure you'll find something to inspire you along with the Marble Art.
God bless
Cee...xx
I am honoured to be given this award... thank you Catherine, you are a sweetie!!
How strange, my comment disappeared (I think I have trouble because with Blogger, you need to press 'submit' about 3 times and I often miss the last time lol)
Thank you for the award!! That really blesses me Catherine!
oh, and I enjoyed reading about your 7 things. I can't whistle to save myself lol.
I enjoyed reading the 7 things about you! wow, big family! and your age....hmmm might be close to mine...i might even be a wee bit older that you....shhh:)
Thank you so much alecat! I will get around to this in the next day or so now I am back up & running computerwise. I love visitng here & I think my friend has fixed whatever was stopping me being able to comment regularly. Probably computer constipation. My kids have got to stop putting their junk on my computer. lol
Computer constipation ~ LOL!!
Yes, we have that happening here a bit too, now that Maestro's experimenting in his movie making and sound editing. Too many files clogging up the computer.
Thankyou Lovely Alecat,
I only just discovered this one. I am still catching up on every thing online.
Bright Blessings and love to you and your dear ones.
You are most welcome Louise! :)
