Lemon cordial

It's going to be getting very hot here. 37degC today, then 40degC tomorrow.
The drapes in the learning room are not yet done, so I've had to resort to putting up old blankets to keep the heat out as much as possible.

I've also made up a batch of lemon cordial as a treat. It's a recipe a friend gave me many years, scrawled on the back of an envelope (did I mention I need to update my recipe book?).

Lemon Cordial
7 lemons, juiced and 1tsp rind
6 cups boiling water
1 kg sugar
50g citric acid
In large bowl, stir sugar into boiling water until well dissolved.
Stir in citric acid, then lemon juice and rind.
Allow to cool then put into bottle/s.
Mix up as per usual cordial.
