We've finished reading Red Sails to Capri today. Since the beginning of the story, the children developed a very keen interest. The last four chapters were almost unbearable to leave and read the next day. "Oh Mum, we want to know what happens!" Last night, after dinner, we were at such a cliff-hanger that we just had to read the final chapter over breakfast today.
Well, I don't want to spoil the story if you've not read it, so maybe it would be best if you don't read on at this stage and come back once you have read it.
Once we knew the mystery, we HAD to find out if it was about a real place or not. So, I've googled "Blue Grotto Capri" and found some beautiful images and information.
The images are copyrighted, so to see for yourself you'll need to go here, or view these:
Getting into the grotto, the entrance is quite small.
Nearly every clip I could find, you hear lots of singing.
This clip is longer, but shows you a beautiful view over the Island of Capri.

I'm so glad you loved this book! It's quite an amazing story hey, and a thrilling end.
I'm yet to pick up my blog award....hubby's away this week again and things are busy here. Loved reading all the snippets about you though! Have a great Thursday.
We haven't read this book, but sounds great! xxx
Sounds lovely. My Mum loved Capri when she and Dad went there about 10 years ago. I even have a bag that she bought there!
We've been away visiting my m-i-l, and found out that the children's grandfather grew up near Capri whilst around their age.
That made the whole story more exciting and .. of course .. the need to plan a trip to see it all became a great conversation point. :)
I really enjoyed this; checked out all the links & everything. I love how SL links to real things. Makes everything come so alive. ☺
