We've been away a while

We've recently been on our first ever homeschooling camp at Wymah Valley. Unfortuately I also came home with a bad headcold, thus the silence from this end (sorry).

The children had an absolute ball, enjoying activities such as orienteering, archery, the flying fox, abseiling, ropes course, making juggling balls and hula hoops, as well as a trivia night, dancing and a family film.

I've written a fuller report and photos on The Rockpool Blogs, so please skip there if you'd like to see/read more. Meanwhile, here are a couple of photos to share:

Whilst we were away, hubby used the quiet house to polish our floorboards. He made a nice mess ... which is why it was best done with no children running about. However, we all got home to a lovely makeover, and no more grotty carpets! YAY! Now I just need to get my new lace curtains made and hung, then put all the nick-nacks back to make it feel homely again.
