What a delight!
We were concerned we'd lost all the eggs, since 6 were gone already. But ... look what we saw at 9:30am this morning.
The children were concerned as Mama hen didn't sit very long on the eggs today. She happily entertained the other chick, coming back occassionally to check on the proceedings.
At 5:30pm tonight we got a glimpse of this little wonder.
Meet Little Foot.
It was very tired after it's hard work and didn't try moving too much. Mama hen then came back and resumed her sitting to keep it warm.
We're hoping we'll have more hatchlings tomorrow.
